Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay I’m a huge advocate for mental health, particularly in the South Asian community. Things have improved to the point where more and more people are speaking up about what they’re going through, but for every one, there are still thousands in the shadows scared and worried if they come out, they’ll be drenched. It took a while for me to speak up and address what I’ve gone through, (social media is not our friend ironically). It honestly - as cliche as it sounds - comes back to loving yourself. Appreciating the little things and persisting. If you or someone is going through something, TALK about it with a trusted person. This could be a therapist, this could be a family member, friend, heck - even the stranger across from you. Talking about what you feel rather than bottling it up makes all the difference, but the first step to recovery will start with YOU wanting it. So, learn to love yourself and all your setbacks, flaws & imperfections. You are stronger than you think PC: @curvelphoto 🌺 . . . . . . #worldsmentalhealthday #fightingback #selflove #loveyourself #bebold #mentalhealthawareness #upliftingcontent #thursdaymotivation #thursdaythoughts #malayalee #malayaleepride #malayaleemodel #keralite #kottayamkutty #BeautifulThoughts #VoiceOfABPD
